Competitions where Records can be set:
Victorian State Championships. Prize Meetings in Victoria with MM/SS and the Northcote Trophy Events. International and National Championships and Aus. Cups held in Victoria. Events where records can be set are:
- 10 m Air Rifle 40 shots
- 10 m Air Rifle 60 shots
- 20 m Prone 60 shots
- 20 m Benchrest 60 shots
- 50 m Prone 60 shots
- 50 m Benchrest 60 shots
- 50 m 3x20
- 50 m 3x40
- 50 m Prone 40 shots
- 50 m Standing 40 shots
- 50 m Kneeling 40 shots
- 90 m Prone 60 shots
- 90 m Benchrest 60 shots
- 20 and 50 m Prone Dual Range
- 20 and 50 m Benchrest Dual Range
- 20 and 90 m Prone Dual Range
- 20 and 90 m Benchrest Dual Range
- 20, 50 and 90 m Prone All Range
- 20, 50 and 90 m Benchrest All Range
Categories for Records are:
- Sub Junior: Open, Male, Female (under 16 on 31st December in the year of the competition.)
- Junior: Open, Male, Female (under 21 on 31st December in the year of the competition.)
- Senior: Open, Male, Female (under 55 on 31st December in the year of the competition.)
- Veteran: Open, Male, Female (over 55 on 31st December in the year of the competition.)
To claim a record:
a. The competitor must fill out an application form which will be provided by the TRV Technical Delegate (TD) at the competition.
b. The TD will then check that:
1 The range and the running of the competition complies with the designated rules.
2. Collect the scored targets and the completed and signed claim form and pass to the Judging Convener.
3. If the competition is held on Electronic targets the TD must obtain a copy of the printer strip and verify that any computer adjustments to the score were carried out according to electronic systems rules.
4. The Rika scoring machine must be used for any air rifle scores that are claimed as State Records.
5. Inner tens must be taken into consideration where records are claimed except for Air Rifle Events.
c. The Judging Convener will recheck and review all processes and if deemed to be correct recommend to Council that the score submitted be ratified as a State Record .
d. Once the record has been approved a suitably designed certificate will be presented to the claimant in recognition of setting or breaking a State Record.
